Seit dem ersten Auftreten der Vogelgrippe in Europa vor einigen Wochen hat natürlich auch das Disneyland Resort Paris Vorsichtsmaßnahmen ergriffen. So wurden im gesamten Resort Hinweisschilder aufgestellt, die darum bitten, keine Vögel zu füttern, um so den Kontakt der Gäste mit den Tieren zu minimieren. Auch die Vögel (Hühner, Enten und Gänse), die sonst im Critter Corral Streichelzoo leben wurden in den Backstage-Bereich gebracht und in abgeschlossene Räume einquartiert, um einen Kontakt mit Wildvögeln zu verhindern. Erstbesucher werden dies aber kaum bemerken, da zumindestens zur ZEit der Streichelzoo ohnehin noch im Winterschlaf ist.
Nun aber ist Chicken Junior, Star des aktuellen Walt Disney Zeichentrickfilms, Opfer der Kampagne geworden - sein gigantisches Abbild an der Fassade des Studio 1 wurde entfernt! Kann man aktuellen Gerüchten Glauben schenken, werden sich die Fans aber nur kurz an der ursprünglichen Atmosphäre des Frontlots freuen können. Denn angeblich finden bereits wieder Gespräche statt, ob ein neues Riesenposter an selber Stelle errichtet werden soll, mit dem entweder Pixar's Cars oder später Disney's The Wild beworben würde.
Fans von Chicken Little müssen deswegen übrigens nicht verzweifeln: zumindestens zur Zeit bleibt die aufwendige Photokulisse zwischen Studio 1 und Animagique noch erhalten.
With the arrival of the bird flu in Europe several weeks ago the Disneyland Resort Paris certainly has taken precautions as well. New signs were installed throughout the resort to remind guests not to feed any birds to prevent contact. Also those birds (chicken, ducks and goose) normally living at the Critter Corral petting zoo have been taken backstage and into closed off buildings to prevent contact with any wild birds. First time guest most probably will not even notice, since the petting zoo is still in its regular winter season closure period.
But now Chicken Little the star of the most recent animated feature of Walt Disney Pictures has become an victim - the giant billboard style poster of him in front of Studio 1 is taken down! Unfortunately if current rumors are true guests and fans may get the original look of the Frontlot back only for the short time. Some sources claim that there are at least discussions that a new giant billboard may be errected sometime soon to advertise either Pixar's Cars or later on Disney's The Wild.
By the way: Chicken Little fans do not need to dispair though, as at least for the time being the photo location between Studio 1 and Animagique will remain in place.
