Seit Jahren vergnügen sich Fans damit, in den Disney Themenparks rund um den Globus die sogenannten Hidden Mickeys (Versteckte Mickeys) zu suchen - drei Kreise, ein großer, zwei kleine, die den Umriss des Kopfes von Mickey nachbilden - und die Imagineers verstecken immer wieder neue Hidden Mickeys in den Attraktionen ... manchmal ganz offensichtliche, oft aber auch geschickt versteckt, so dass es fast, aber auch nur fast unmöglich ist, sie zu entdecken.
Im Falle des neuen Tower of Terror für die Walt Disney Studios scheinen sich die Imagineers dafür entschieden zu haben, die kubistische Variante eines Hidden Mickeys zu verstecken. Ein genauer Blick auf die Fassade zeigt jedenfalls einen Hidden Mickey gebildet nicht aus drei runden, sondern drei eckigen Formen (hier: Aussparrungen in der Fassade). Aber vielleicht bekommen diese ja noch eine Abdeckung, so dass sie später doch rund erscheinen?

For years fans have made it a sport to roam the Disney theme parks around the globe and search for those elusive hidden Mickeys - the distinctive shape of three circles, one large, two smaller, that resemble the outline of Mickey's head - and the Imagineers have done their best to add them to their attractions ... some in plain sight, others cleverly hidden, so that they are nearly, but only nearly impossible to find.
In the case of the upcoming Tower of Terror at the Walt Disney Studios it seems the Imagineers have decided to go for the cubistic version of the Hidden Mickey. A close look at the current construction shows that a Hidden Mickey like-shape just assembled out of rectangular shapes (in this case: openings) is adorning the front facade of the Tower. But maybe those shapes will become the more classical circles once the finishing touches and a partial cover are added?
