September 26, 2002 - that was the day the “Stars en liberté, les plus belles photos de tournage” exhibition opened for a limited time only in the Walt Disney Studios. Photos from the coffee table book with the same name, showing the big stars of the screen in some back-stage-moments adorned the lighting rigs along the parade route. But Decemer 31, 2002, came and went and the photos were not taken down as announced, becoming a regular feature of the park - until now.
In a surprise move the photos are disappearing and are now replaced with oversized replicas of movie posters for animated Walt Disney features from the classic "Pinocchio" all the way to the only upcoming "Chicken Little" and Disney shorts, as well as for live action movies as e.g. “20.000 leagues under the Sea” and productions of the Disney Channel.
When Walt Disney created Disneyland he wanted to have the opportunity to tell his stories in three dimensions. He was able to build the sets for his stories - but a certain element was missing: characters.

Am 26. September 2002 wurden die Ausstellung “Stars en liberté, les plus belles photos de tournage” in den Walt Disney Studios eröffnet. Photos aus dem gleichnamigen Bildband zierten die Beleuichtungstürme entlang der Paradenroute und zeigten große Filmstars in Backstage-Momenten. Doch statt wie geplant nach dem 31. Dezember 2002 wieder entfernt zu werden, wurde die Photos ein fester Bestandteil des Parks - bis jetzt.
In einem überraschend Zug wurden die Photos jetzt gegen große Nachdrucke von Filmplakaten der Disney Zeichentrickklassiker von "Pinocchio" bis "Chicken Little", von Kurzfilmen, Live Action Filmen wie "20.000 Meilen unter dem Meer" und auch Produktionen des Disney Channels ersetzt.
Das sich in den Himmel reckende Dornrösschen Schloss ist nicht nur ein magischer Anblick, sondern auch der Mittelpunkt des Disneyland Parks und sein allseits bekanntes Wahrzeichen - doch auch sein Inneres kann entzücken.
