Als Walt Disney Disneyland erschuf wollte er die Möglichkeit haben seine Geschichten dreidimensional erzählen zu können. Er konnte die Sets für diese Geschichten bauen - doch ein gewisses Element fehlte noch: die Figuren.

When Walt Disney created Disneyland he wanted to have the opportunity to tell his stories in three dimensions. He was able to build the sets for his stories - but a certain element was missing: characters.

Fans have got used to the numerous special offers Disneyland Resort Paris makes throughout the year at selected dates and sometimes only for guests from selected countries as far as packages including hotel stays and theme park passports are concerned. The two most popular and frequent offers are extra night / days for free (3 for 2, 4 for 3) and the annual kids free offers. Still first time guests now and then seem to have been slightly overwhelmed by the task of finding the best offers for them.
But since last year the resort is establishing similar special offers for theme park passports as well. The latest offer was revealed only yesterday: the Billet Francilien. Differing from the Annual Passport Francilien (89,- Euro), the Billet Francilien is available to all guests and not only local residents. So what is the deal? The Billet Francilien is available only by pre-order at least 5 days in advance (online or via a ticket partner of the resort) and not at the theme parks directly. It offers a noticeable discount compared to regular tickets. Instead of 43,- Euro (respectively 35,- Euro for children) the Billet Francilien for a one day passport for one theme park costs only 29,- Euro (for children and adults alike) for weekdays (excluding holidays, vacation times etc.) or 34,- Euro for weekends, holidays, vacation times etc. And for 34,- Euro (respectively 39,- Euro on weekends, holidays, ...) guests can even enjoy both theme parks - which is considerably cheaper than the 53,- / 45,- Euro one day park hopper passport for adults / children at a regular price. To make the offer even more interesting a "bonus" version of the one day, one theme park Bille Francilien is available which for a surcharge of 1,- Euro adds a second day of theme park fun. The small print: the first visit must take place on or before June 30, 2006, and the second one between July 1 and September 30, 2006. While all guests can take advantage of this deal, it should be mostly of interest to locals.
But don't think this is the only discounted ticket available - besides special offers through sponsors / partners and the regular discounts for e.g. members of the Shareholders' Club and AP holders the resort also continues its successfull Billet "Plus Tot" offer from last year. It consists of passports at a price of 25,- / 29,- Euro (weekdays / weekend) for a one day one theme park passport respectively 29,- / 35,- Euro (weekdays / weekend) for a one day theme park hopper passport - and therefore is cheaper than a one day Billet Francilien. The catch: it is an internet-only offer, the passports are only valid for the chosen day and there is only a limited number of tickets (300 or 700) for each day, so tickets (which can't be refunded) must be ordered early.
So guests who don't book a package and are not AP holders should pay some extra thoughts in advance to make sure they get the best deal on passports available...
