Die in London ansässige internationale Automtive Gruppe Inchcape plc hat bekanntgegeben, dass André Lacroix als Nachfolger des gegenwärtigen Group Chief Executive bestimmt wurde. Er wird ab 1. September 2005 dem Board von Inchcape angehören, bevor er am 1. Januar 2006 den gegenwärtigen GCE Peter Johnson ablöst, der dann die Rolle des Non-Executive Chairman übernimmt.
Nach dem eher bescheidenen Dankesworten von Jay Rasulo in der Pressemeldung des Resorts, lobt seine neue Gesellschaft André Lacroix überschwänglich. So wird ihr gegenwärtiger GCE mit den Worten zitiert: "Ich bin hoch erfreut, dass André Lacroix eingewilligt hat, unser neuer Group Chief Executive zu werden, und freue mich sehr darauf, mit ihn zusammenzuarbeiten". Der aktuelle Non-Executive Chairman Sir John Egan führt aus: "Mit André Lacroix haben wir einen erstklassigen Nachfolger für Peter gefunden. Seine Fähigkeiten in Kombination mit dem extensiven Fachwissen des Boards im Bereich des Automtive Industrie sowie der Stärke unseres operativen Senior-Managements, werden für Inchcape die hochwertige strategische und operative Führung sicherstellen, die notwendig sind, um den unter der Führung von Peter erzielten Erfolg fortzusetzen".
André Lacroix wird in seiner neuen Position, die ihn mit 45 Jahren erneut in einen für ihn neuen Industriezweig führt, ein jährliches Basisgehalt von £620.000 erhalten. Sein neuer Arbeitgeber beschreibt sich selbst als eine internationale Automtive Service Gruppe, die hochwertige Vertretung für die Produktionspartner bietet durch eine Auswahl verschiedener Zugangswege zu den Märkten, sowie eine Reihe von Produkten für ihre Kunden im Vertriebsbereich und verschiedene Business-Dienstleistungen für Firmenkunden. Das Geschäft ist auf Großbritannien, Griechenland, Belgien, Australien, Hong Kong und Singapur konzentriert. Zu den Aktivitäten von Inchcape gehören der Exklusiv-Import ebenso wie Distribution und Vertrieb, Business-Dienstleistungen, Automotive-E-Commerce und Finanzdienstleistungen. Zentrale Partner auf Herstellerebene sind Toyota/Lexus, Subaru, BMW, die Premier Automotive Group of Ford, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz und Volkswagen.

The London based international automotive group Inchcape plc announced that André Lacroix has been appointed to succeed its current Group Chief Executive. He will join the board of Inchcape on September 1, 2005, before assuming the role of Group Chief Executive on January 1, 2006, when the current GCE Peter Johnson replaced the current non-executive Chairman.
After the rather lukewarm "Thank You" from Jay Rasulo in the press release of the Resort, his new company understandably goes out of its way to praise André Lacroix. Its current GCE is cited saying: “I am delighted that André Lacroix has agreed to be our next Group Chief Executive, and I greatly look forward to working with him.”, while the current non-executive Chairman Sir John Egan said: “In André Lacroix, we have identified a first rate successor to Peter. His skills, when combined with the extensive knowledge of the automotive industry that already exists at Board level, and the strength of our senior operational management teams, will provide Inchcape with the very high quality of strategic and operational leadership required to continue the success achieved during Peter’s tenure”.
André Lacroix will receive an a basic annual salary of £620,000 in his new position which brings him once again into a new business sector at the age of 45. His new company describes itself as an international automotive services group providing quality representation for its manufacturer partners, a choice of channels to market and products for its retail customers and a range of business services for its corporate customers. Operations are focused on the UK, Greece, Belgium, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. Inchcape's activities include exclusive Import, Distribution and Retail, Business Services, automotive E-commerce and Financial Services. Their key manufacturer partners are Toyota/Lexus, Subaru, BMW, the Premier Automotive Group of Ford, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen.
