Frühere Versionen der Bahn finden sich in den anderen Magic Kingdoms Disneys, unterscheiden sich aber deutlich von der Pariser Variante, die nicht nur erstmals bei einer Disney Achterbahn drei Inversionen aufbot und das "Raketen"-Startsysteme zur Premiere

Die französische Tageszeitung Le Parisien hat heute eine kurze Nachrichtenmeldung veröffentlicht, in der es heißt, dass Feuer im Maschinenraum der Molly Brown sei durch ein elektrisches Problem ausgelöst worden. Dies bestätigt zwar nicht die Information unserer internen Quellen, dass das Feuer durch das Austreten von Treibstoffgasen ausgelöst wurde, allerdings erscheint es logisch, dass ein elektrischer Defekt das Luft/Treibstoffgas-Gemisch entzündet haben könnte - also beide Berichte korrekt sind. Laut Le Parisien war das elektrische Problem auch der Grund, dass das Boot zum Stillstand kam und nicht weiter auf den Schienen zum Riverboat Landing fuhr.
Die Zeitung erwartet, dass die Molly Brown für mehrere Monate ausfallen wird, bis der Maschinenraum wieder hergestellt ist, eine neue elektrische Verkabelung eingezogen wurde, verschiedene durch den Rauch geschwärzte Teile des Schiffes neu gestrichen und der Kapitänsstand wieder hergestellt ist. Letzterer hatte laut dem Bericht übrigens Feuer gefangen. Le Parisien bestätigt außerdem, dass die Mark Twain sich noch im Dock befindet, da ein bereits vor dem Unfall begonnene Renovierung zum Abschluss gebracht werden muss.

he French daily Le Parisien today published a short news piece stating that the fire in the engine room of the Molly Brown was caused by a problem within the electric wiring. While this does not confirm the information we received from internal sources about fuel-fume leaking from a pipe in the engine room, eventually both reports could be correct as the electric problem might have caused the air/fuel-fume mix to ignite. According to Le Parisien the electirc problem was also the reason, why the ship did come to an immediate halt instead of moving further down the track to the Riverboat Landing.
Le Parisien expects the Molly Brown to be out of service for several months for the restoration of the engine room, rewiring of the electric components, repainting several parts of the ship blackened by the smoke and repairing the steering cabine which according to the newspaper actually did catch fire. The report confirms that the Mark Twain is still in the dock as it is undergoing a rehab already started prior to the accident.
