Samstag, den 8. April 2006, öffnet die neue, interaktive Darkride Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast (im ehemaligen Visionarium) offiziell. Endlich können alle Gäste Space Ranger werden und Buzz dabei helfen, Zurgs Pläne für die Übernahme des Toy Universe zu vereiteln, indem sie verhindern, dass er alle Batterien und damit die Energieversorgung unter seine Kontrolle bringt.
Laut bisher unbestätigt Informationen könnte es eine kleine Eröffnungszeremonie für alle Gäste geben, die kurz nach Parköffnung am Samstag den 8. April sich bei der Attraktion einfinden. Die aufwendige Eröffnungsfeier aber ist für heute, den 7. April, terminiert worden. Internationale Presse und VIPs treffen bereits im Resort ein und werden während des Tages die Attraktion testen können, sowie Ton- und Bildaufnahmen machen. Später, gegen Abend, wird dann der Bereich abgesperrt, um die letzten Vorbereitungen für die Zeremonie zu erledigen, die am Abend nach Parkschluss stattfinden wird - mit dem CEO des Resorts und Buzz Lightyear persönlich! Die Bühne für das Event wurde bereits vor Autopia aufgebaut. Der Abend endet für die Presse und VIPs dann mit mehr Zeit, die Attraktion zu genießen, und einem Dinner im Park.

Saturday, April 8, 2006, the new interactive dark ride Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast (housed in the former Visionarium) will officially open its doors, welcoming the guests of the park to join the Space Rangers and help Buzz defeat Zurg's evil plans to take over the toy universe by monopolizing its energy sources - batteries!
According to unconfirmed rumors there might be a minor opening ceremony taking place on April 8, 2006, for guests visiting the park shortly after park opening. But the more elaborate opening ceremony is scheduled for today April 7, 2006. International press and VIPs are arriving this morning in the resort and are invited to test the ride, as well as make video and audio recordings at selected times throughout the day. Then, later in the afternoon, the area will be roped off in preparation for the official grand opening ceremony featuring the CEO of the resort as well as Buzz Lightyear himself taking place in the evening, after park closure. The stage for this event is set up in front of Autopia. The special evening for the press and VIPs will conclude with exclusive ride times and a dinner in the park.
