Wie auf diesen am Dienstag, den 17. Mai, aufgenommenen Photos zu sehen, liegt die Molly Brown auch am Tag nach dem Brand an Bord noch immer in der Fahrrinne der Rivers of the Far West. Nachdem sie noch nicht an den Dock verlegt wurde, blockiert sie damit die Schienen, so dass auch der zweite Raddampfer, die Mark Twain, nicht in Betrieb gegen kann. Auf Grund ihrer Position in der hinteren Kurve der Rivers of the Far West, noch jenseits der Fischerhütte, nehmen viele Gäste das Schiff jedoch nicht wahr, obwohl es von verschiedenen Punkten aus sichtbar ist. Zur Zeit wurde am Heck das Keelboat Raccoon angelegt, von dem aus wiederum eine Planke an das Ufer führt, so dass die für die Untersuchung des Brandes Verantwortlichen frei vom Land aus auf das Schiff gelangen können, ohne auf eine Verschiffung angewiesen zu sein (wie auch im Photo oben links zu sehen).
Die drei Photos zeigen keinerlei sichtbaren äußeren Schaden an der Molly Brown. Nachdem in den Berichten jedoch übereinstimmend von starker Rauchentwicklung die Rede war, könnte durch diesen das Innere in Mitleidenschaft gezogen worden sein. Auch ist es nicht möglich zu erkennen, inwieweit das Feuer im Maschinenraum und im umliegenden inneren Bereich Schäden verursacht hat. Ausgehend von der scheinbar intakten Hülle und den intakten Aufbauten, besteht jedoch berechtigte Hoffnung, dass die Molly Brown wieder in Stand gesetzt werden kann.

It has not yet been moved into the dock, such is still blocking the underwater rail tracks preventing also the park's second paddle steamer, the Mark Twain, to go into operation. Due to its location in the rear corner of the rivers, beyond the hut of the fisherman most guests will not immediately notice the Queen of the River, even so it is visible from several viewpoints. Currently the Keelboat Raccoon has been anchorned right next to the stern of the Molly Brown. Thanks to a plank extended from the keelboat to the shore the officials and castmembers involved in the inquire to the cause of the fire can freely move from the shores onto the paddle steamer and back without the need to shuttle back and forth with boats (as seen in the photo above).
The three photos show now visible exterior damage of the Molly Brown due to the fire. But as guests reported to have seen heavy smoke the not visible interior might be affected by that smoke. Also it is not possible to see whether there is any actual fire damage in the engine room and the surrounding interior area. But as the main body of the ship and its decks seem undamaged hope can be that the Molly Brown should be repairable.
