When Walt Disney created Disneyland he wanted to have the opportunity to tell his stories in three dimensions. He was able to build the sets for his stories - but a certain element was missing: characters.

Es wird noch 1 1/2 Monate dauern, bis Mickey eine positive Antwort auf seine berühmte Frage aus dem Mickey Mouse Club erhalten wird - aber wenn die Sommersaison am 16. Juli erst beginnt, wird sie so klar und deutlich wie seit Jahren nicht mehr ausfallen ... Dank der Crews, die im gesamten Disneyland Park schwer mit Renovierungen beschäftigt sind, und den Gärtnern, die bereits jetzt im gesamten Resort eine blühende Pflanzenpracht erschaffen.
In Frontierland gehen die kleineren Arbeiten an der Fassade von Phantom Manor ebenso weiter, wie an den Zäunen des Weges zum Boot Hill, die dringend ausgetauscht werden mussten. In Adventureland wurde eine Renovierung scheinbar fertiggestellt: der Leuchter im Eingang des Adventureland Bazaars ist jetzt wieder mit allen Lampen zu bewundern. Direkt unter ihm und damit 
mitten im Haupteingang des Landes wurde allerdings eine kleine Palme aufgestellt. Eine seltsame Entscheidung, die wohl spätestens wenn im Sommer wieder der große Andrang einsetzt, überdacht werden dürfte. Ebenfalls als erledigt abgehakt werden kann der Austausch der Segel an zwei Zugängen zur Adventure Isle, die dort als Hinweisschild dienen, aber von einem Sturm zerstört worden waren.
Auf unserem Rundgang von Baustelle zu Baustelle kommen wir schließlich zu unserer letzten Station in Fantasyland: hier ist plötzlich die Fassade der Fantasy Festival Stage hinter Gerüsten verschwunden. Die Arbeiten sind jedoch auf die Fassade beschränkt, so dass die Nutzung des Theaters für die Magic Music Days ungestört fortgesetzt werden kann.
It'll take another month and a half till Mickey will get a positive answer to his famous question from the Mickey Mouse Club - but once he gets it with the start of the summer season on July 16 it will be as clear and loud as not in many years ... thanks to the rehab crews swarming all over the Disneyland Park and the gardeners already bussily planting blooming flowers all over the resort.
In Frontierland minor work continues on the facade of Phantom Manor as well as at the fences along the walkway to the Boot Hill, which needed to be replaced. Over in Adventureland one rehab seems to have been finished: the chandelier in the entrance of the Adventureland Bazaar has returned with all lamps. Dead center in the middle below it and therefore right 
in the middle of the land's main entrance a small palm tree has been placed though - a rather strange decision which most propably won't last for long once the park gets really crowded again this summer. Also ticked as "done" on the list can be the replacement of the sailes that function as marquees at two of the access points to Adventure Isle after a storm had ripped apart the previous sails.
Continuing our stroll from rehab site to rehab site Fantasyland is the last stop: here new scaffolding is covering the whole facade of the Fantasy Festival Stage. As the rehab does not involve the interior the Magic Music Days continue uninterrupted there.
