The official telecast of the grand opening of Disneyland Paris included a short sequence at Imagineering in which they showed off one of the park's upcoming attractions to be added "soon": a dark ride based on Disney's animated classic "The Little Mermaid", in which guests would descend into the world of Ariel onboard of giant seashell.
Alas, as we all know, the ride supposed to be positioned opposite of the Pizzeria Bella Notte never got built and up to know all fans could do was look at their videos of the opening telecast and search the web for more information - like MickeyFantasmic's unrivaled F-File. But this will all change on October 3rd ... 2006!
Yes, not even another full month of waiting. Unfortunately you still won't be able to board your seashell at Disneyland Paris or any other Disney theme park around the world ... instead you can do it AT HOME! All you need is the new 2-DVD Platinum Edition release of "The Little Mermaid" which on the 2nd DVD features "Under The Sea Adventure: A Virtual Ride Inspired By Walt Disney Imagineering". As it says in the booklet coming with the DVDs:
