When Walt Disney created Disneyland he wanted to have the opportunity to tell his stories in three dimensions. He was able to build the sets for his stories - but a certain element was missing: characters.

Disneyland Resort Paris invites his shareholders on a special private screening of the new Disney movie “Chicken Little” to celebrate the release of the movie in France. The movie was released in the USA this weekend and has taken the number 1 spot with a solid first weekend earnings of 40.1 million dollars. With this strong opening result Disney proofs that they can make computer generated animation on their own and bring the people to the cinema’s to see it. This provides Disney a very strong position in the negotiations with Pixar for a future collaboration of the two companies after there contract with each other ends once “Cars” has been released.
But they did more then putting a little chicken on the screen, they also put it out in a 3-D version in approximately 100 selected cinema’s in the USA in collaboration with Dolby Laboratories, employing Dolby Digital Cinema combined with Industrial Light & Magic's who transformed the movie into 3-D using there proprietary software technology. With a result like this Disney shows they are ready for the future in cinema entertainment and proof they are still the number one in the world when it comes to animation.
Now Disneyland Resort Paris shareholders are invited to a private screening of this movie at the Walt Disney Studios in the CinéMagique theatre. The French version will be shown on Friday 9th December while the original English version with French subtitles will be screened on Saturday 17th December. Both dates screening of the movie “Chicken Little” will start at 8:30.
To be able to see this screening shareholders need to register and can order up to 3 tickets for one of the two dates the movie will be shown. Shareholder cards must be valid up to 17th December and must be brought to the screening together with the confirmation letter guest will receive from Disneyland Resort Paris after they registered on the Shareholders Club Special Events web pages
It remains to be seen how many guests from outside of France will come to this event as the release date of this movie in some of the other European countries is a lot sooner as the official release date in France. France itself will release the movie on the 7th December, two days before the event. With this in mind guest from France might wait two days to see it at the Walt Disney Studios or even wait a week to see the original version. Guests from other countries might not register as they will have an earlier release date. In the Netherlands and Belgium this will on 16-17 November. In Spain the release is expected to be on the 18th November. While Switzerland will have an Italian version premiering on the 2nd December and a French version starts as from the 7th December. The German version of the movie for the Switzerland release is expected on 27 January. Italy will have its first screening on the 2nd December too.
In Germany the movie will show as from 26th January, close to the Switzerland German version release, while the UK has the latest release date and will start showing the movie as late as 10th February. (Dates might change during the weeks to come, check your local listings)
Going to see the movie at Disneyland Resort Paris is of course a nice excuse to visit the parks on those 2 weekends and might convince fans to do that extra trip to the resort. However if you want to see the 3-D version chances are very slim to see this happening in any other place then the US. Not to late to book a flight to see it near one of the resorts over there.
