Seltsame Entwicklungen können derzeit in den Walt Disney Studios beobachtet werden - die Arbeiten am Tower of Terror gehen auf Hochtouren weiter, obwohl die Attraktion offiziell erst 2008 eröffnen soll (Gerüchte deuten noch immer auf eine Eröffnung Halloween 2007), während die zukünftigen Toon Studios mit zwei Attraktionen, die bereits 2007 eröffnen sollen, verlassen sind. Nachdem noch über Neujahr große Erdarbeiten stattfanden, befindet sich die Baustelle mit den zwischenzeitlich vorbereitenen Flächen nun im Dornrösschen-Schlaf und erwartet die Vorbereitung der Fundamente. Doch auch der Tower kommt mittlerweile langsamer voran, in den vergangenen drei Wochen wuchs er lediglich um ein weiteres Stockwerk - allerdings sollte er nahezu seine entgültige Höhe erreicht haben. Das Dach kann jedoch erst ergänzt werden, nachdem die Fahrstuhlmotoren per Kran in den Rohbau eingesetzt wurden. 
Zur Zeit wächst dafür aber das Gebäude der zukünftigen Lobby umso schneller - zur Erleichterung dieser Arbeiten wurden auch die Bauzäune über den ursprüngliche Zaun und den Grasstreifen bis hin zum Hauptweg der Studios versetzt.
Außerdem ist zu berichten, dass ein neuer Bauzaun auf dem Production Courtyard zwischen Cinemagique und der Disney Channel Tour aufgetaucht ist. Laut unterschiedlichen Quellen soll Mickey's Caravan hier in Kürze aufgestellt werden. Zur Zeit findet sich dieses Photo-Set noch auf dem Animation Courtyard zwischen The Art of Disney Animation und den Carpets over Agrabah. Allerdings wurde hier wegen der Arbeiten an den Toon Studios bereits der von dem Caravan und dem Hintergrundprospekt verdeckte Container entfernt, der für Mickey als Pausen- und Vorbereitungsraum während der Meet'n'Greets benötigt wird.
Strange developments can be witnessed in the Walt Disney Studios park - the construction site of the Tower of Terror is busy with workers, even so the attraction isn't scheduled to open till 2008 (at least officially - rumors still indicate a Halloween 2007 opening), 
while the site for the all new Toon Studios area with two attractions supposed to be opened in 2007 is dormant. After some heavy ground work that continued even over New Year the now flattened and prepared ground awaits the installment of the fundaments now. But the pace of vertical growth of the Tower of Terror has also slightly slowed down with just one level being added in the last 3 weeks as the tower should have reached or nearly reached its maximum height now but the final element / roof can't be placed till the elevator engines are placed inside with the crane. Instead most of the work currently centers around the entrance hall building that now grows faster - to ease this work the construction fences have been extended to close off also the small grass stripe between the main road of the Studios and the ornamented original fence at the site of the Tower.
In more news from the Studios a new construction fence has been errected at the rear of Production Courtyard between Cinemagique and the Disney Channel Tour. According to several sources Mickey's Caravan will be moved to this new location shortly. Currently it still sits on Animation Courtyard between The Art of Disney Animation and the Carpets over Agrabah, but the office-container that was hidden behind the caravan and its backdrop which is necessary as break- and change-room for the Meet'n'Greet in front of the caravan already had to be taken out due to preparations for the Toon Studios going into this part of the park.
